Active Shooter Seminar

What is an active shooter?
An active shooter is an individual actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a confined or populated area. In most cases, active shooters use firearms and there is no pattern or method to their selection of victims. Active shooter situations are unpredictable and evolve quickly. One must be ready to act when most freeze. What would you do?
What will you learn at our seminar?
Working with knives, rifles, and handguns can be extremely stressful, even for trained soldiers. Working with civilians, handling weapons is usually something new, and many are hesitant to even touch them. Our primary objective is to increase technical skills, but also to instill the courage to act with weapons present. Teaching participants how to overcome the mental fear when the threat occurs, as well as hold the weapons properly. This allows a deeper understanding of these weapons so they can have confidence working with them, in high stress situations. By the end of two hours, participants are not only aware of how to disarm the perpetrator, but have practiced wielding the weapon in hand to hand combat.
